Tube Materials

Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) is the preferred material for most products, due to the ease of sealing and its high resistance to stress cracking. Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and High-density polyethylene (HDPE) are also produced along with co-extruded tubes which incorporate an EVOH barrier layer in the tube and shoulder.

The barrier layer in a co-extruded tube provides excellent product protection characteristics, preventing transmission of ingredients such as sunscreen, flavours and perfumes through the body of the tube.

Please note that these are only suggested uses. It is the customer's responsibility to conduct compatibility tests on tube types.
